SCHIRDING FACADE

In 1915, the second of five owners of the Broadgauge, the Schirding family, remodeled the facade, with much wider windows and one main entrance.  Members of the Schirding family remain in and around Petersburg and provided the original 1915 blueprints that this historic preservation project is based on.  You can see those blueprints here.

ROBBINS SHOE ROOM

The Robbins Shoe Room is named after the third family that owned the Broadgauge, operating it as the clothing store Robbins for some 70 years.  The Robbins sign from the current colonial facade will be moved inside the shoe room.  The Robbins Shoe Room will host a giant Family Table that will be used in the mornings for gatherings around warm cups of coffee and lively large group meals during the evening.

TALISMAN COFFEE

The Broadgauge will host a coffee shop named the Talisman, in the front of what used to be Ted's Tavern.  The Talisman will open up to the Robbins Shoe Room during morning hours, where there will a lounge and Family Table.

Emily and Corey Faucon will operate the Talisman.  More information can be found here.
